Leadership and Social Justice Sequence

12 credit hours in Politics and Government, Leadership in Public Affairs and Social Justice.  Up to 18 hours may be required outside the department (see below)

Leadership in Public Affairs.  6 hours from the following courses: POL 162, 213, 214, 217, 218, 220, 221, 231, 252, 293.01, 323, 335, 330, 398.01

Issues in Social Justice.  6 hours from the following courses: POL 225, 232, 236, 240, 245, 246,247, 262, 334, 336, 352, 358, 363

At least 3 hours of the coursework chosen from the components must be from the 300 level, excluding 398.01.

Students must complete one of the following 3 options:

• Approved Internship in Public Affairs and Social Justice (6hrs.)
• Six approved cognate courses (18 hrs.)
• Approved off-campus study program with emphasis on leadership and social justice. (varies)

It is required that students develop their Leadership and Social Justice sequence in consultation with their political science advisor.
