RESULTS OF 2007 TOURNAMENT

LOCATION

Bloomington/Normal is a metropolitan area of approximately 150,000 located in Central Illinois at the intersection on Interstate Highways 39, 55,  and 74.  We are approximately 130 miles Southwest of Chicago, 175 miles West of Indianapolis, and 180 miles Northeast of St. Louis.  Airtran, American, Delta, Northwest, and United Airlines all fly into the Central Illinois Regional Airport. 

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

The tournament will utilize 2008-2009 American Mock Trial Association rules and case materials.  There will be four rounds and an awards ceremony. Trials will be he held in regular courtrooms at the McLean County Law & Justice Center in downtown Bloomington.     The tournament schedule will be as follows:

Friday, 11/7

Saturday, 11/8

Sunday, 11/9

REGISTRATION   

Based on the number of courtrooms available at the Law & Justice center, this tournament is limited to 24 teams. Registrations ($125.00 per team) will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis with a limit of two teams per school up until October 1st.  If we have not filled all of our slots by that date, we will allow participating schools to register additional teams. 

To register a team for this tournament, complete a copy of the registration form linked to this page and send it, along with a check for the registration fees to Dr. Thomas Eimermann, Invitational Mock Trial Tournament Director, Campus Box 4600, Illinois State University, Normal, Il 61790-4600.  Checks should be made out the Illinois State University.
