Congressman Tim Johnson: Summer Internships

The Office of Congressman Tim Johnson IL-15 (R) is seeking intelligent
and conservative minded individuals for unpaid Summer Internships.
Duties include attending briefings on behalf of senior staff, assisting
staff with policy research, as well as managing constituent contact and
conducting tours of the U.S. Capitol.

Applicants should possess strong written and verbal communication skills
and be self-motivated.  Applicants should also have outgoing
personalities and be able to problem solve and multi-task. District and
Illinois ties are a plus but not required.

Duties include answering phones, sorting mail, giving tours, assisting staff with legislative research, and attending briefings. This is a wonderful opportunity for any college student interested in experiencing first-hand the legislative process and the federal government by working closely with the legislative, communications, and constituent service staff members. Halvorson for Congress

The Halvorson for Congress campaign is looking for talented and energetic interns for the summer and fall of 2008. Interns will get the opportunity to work on one of the top congressional campaigns in the nation and earn valuable skills and lessons. The campaign currently has an office in Crete and Joliet. Interns may work from either of those offices or field interns may work in Bloomington/Normal or LaSalle County, wither part-time or fulll-time. Read more

Legislative Intern – State Senator Bill Brady

Senator Brady's office has announced that they have an immediate need for an intern. The general description follows: Offered: Fall, Spring, and Summer; Compensation: Unpaid; Description: Will work with Senator Brady and other staff members to research and formulate legislation.  Help constituents with problems related to state agencies and programs.  Draft letters to constituents.  Travel with Senator Brady to Springfield and various events.  Qualifications: Good communication skills and the willingness to travel to Springfield and other meetings are important.  Interns should also possess the ability to understand complex issues related to state government and strong public presentation skills. Campaign Internships for Hillary Clinton

The Hillary Clinton for President internship program provides an excellent opportunity for students to learn and serve through first-hand participation in the election process. The program is intended to provide knowledge, skills and experiences that each intern can apply to future challenges and professional pursuits.
